Multi-Phase Voting in India

Due to the massive scale, elections are conducted in phases (e.g., 7 phases in 2024 Lok Sabha polls) for logistical and security reasons.

1

Phase 1

2

Subsequent Phases

Voting spread over weeks. Security forces moved between phases.

3

Final Phase

Last day of polling (e.g., June 1, 2024).
